St. Anne’s Wattala is one of the most popular and leading parishes in the diocese of Colombo. The Parish compromises of more than 2000 families. Our parish community is diverse and multi-ethnic. The Holy Masses are therefore conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
According to a source said that first St. Ann’s church Wattala was built July 29 1825, place called Kongahawatta Wattala. The present church and the parish hall buildings were built by the
late Rev. Fr. Nicholas Perera in 1943.
